American economist Paul Krugman on Monday won the 2008 Nobel prize for economics for work that helps explain why some countries dominate international trade.
He is professor of economics and international affairs at priceton university and is also a columnist for The New Work Times, having written a twice weekly op-ed column for the newspaper since 2000.
