Ford unveiled its amazing "Vision of the Future" in one of its Car Shows this year. The ultimate Ford model designs of the future however, came from not the Ford designers themselves, but a team of students of Deakin University in Melbourne, Australia, and Aachen University in Cologne, Germany.
The students designed the Ford Model T 2.0 for a design contest that was conducted to commemorate the 100 years of the first Ford Model T. The two winners were given $25,000 in scholarship money.
One of the conditions of the design contest was to design a car under a budget of $7,000. The students came up with wonderful designs but this three-wheeled coupe definitely stole away the show and was declared the winner of the contest along with another winning design.
Keeping in mind the rate of inflation these days, it seems quite optimistic to build such a car in $7,000 but who knows by the year 2015 inflation deflates so much to make this vision come true!
