What can one say about the alluring Sarah Palin? At each turn she defies reasonableness, and continues to amaze me with her idiocy. In the summaries below, Palin tells 3rd graders that as VP she will lead policy decisions in the Senate, she has spent more than $150,000 on clothing, makeup and "accessories" in just a few months, and she "knows" God will do the right thing by America on November 4. See more details about each of these stories and more below.

First, Keith Olbermann reports that Palin is definitely not smarter than a third grader. In a recent interview Palin is asked by a 3rd grader "What does the Vice President do?" How does Palin respond? She says she will preside over the Senate (partially true) and run Senate policy (not at all true). The campaign has responded to criticisms by indicating that Palin was addressing the issue in a way in which 3rd graders would understand. Uhm...let's pray Palin never decides to become a social science teacher shall we.

Well after that it is hard to think that Palin could come up with something better, but reports have recently indicated that Palin has spent more than $150,000 on clothing and makeup since being asked to join the Republican ticket. The RNC sure is generous considering people are losing their homes! The expenses also appear to include items from a baby clothing store, and a men's store (wonder what she bought there, huh?).

But Palin is on a mission. apparently a mission directly from God. Last Wednesday Palin told Dr. James Dobson of "Focus on the Family" that she is confident "God will do the right thing for America" on Nov. 4. She had better hope that doesn't mean striking someone down with lightening for lying, cheating, stealing, and basically pretending to be someone they aren't (that's in the Bible isn't it?).

Now for the weird and scary news. According to First Read at MSNBC, the White House corn maze now includes a cutout of Palin. Yes, as if the real thing isn't bad enough, we have to have scary corn mazes of her head! I haven't yet seen photos of this (the link in the article wasn't working) but if you find one, please add it to this news item! I'd love to print it for my Halloween party!

And finally, Palin's stance against polar bears (which, by the way, she does not share with her running mate John McCain) is being attacked through a new ad from The Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund. The ad addresses Palin's efforts to try to keep Polar Bears off the endangered species list, indicating that they were "very, very healthy" and did not need to be protected.

Here's a solid plan - let's dress Palin in a $25,000 polar bear suit, and throw her in a boat just between Russia and Alaska. How long do you think before she's able to swim her way to safety, and which direction would you guess she'll go? Let's hope for our sake she'll opt for political asylum in Russia; all of America would be better off.

Priorities, Sarah, priorities. That $150,000 could have helped Joe the Plumber buy the business.

Heck it could have helped him pay for a LICENSE to work as a plumber or his BACK TAXES! Oy.
