It was an Aussie avalanche at the Victoria's Secret lingerie show in Miami yesterday when Miranda Kerr led a trio of Australian models down the catwalk. Gunnedah-born Kerr was joined...
Calling Heidi Klum's thighs big seems a bit twisted in my opinion. I've seen too many girls starve themselves to unrecognition, and create such a poor self-image that a deep depression is usually the outcome. Not saying this is the only reason now. Not sure what your point really is. Girls should basically be dressed skeletons?
I sense some sarcasm in the comment, but I do not really think it works. If you truly meant it I do not get it at all. Anyone who has been close to an anorectic knows what starts the whole downward spiral.
You must see things others don't see. The whole world worships these model. I doubt if their diet is of sheep or shrimp but more like kiwi and papayas.
Hi Nicole 11. You're crazy! These women look perfect, and most of them are already too skinny. And the camera adds 10 pounds so they're actually smaller in person or in real life. I think the women look better and are healthier when they have more substance (i.e. meat on them). Curves are in/hot!
Most people would agree that for too long the media and the fashion industry have been promoting an unrealistic ideal (an ideal that the majority of women aspire to but usually/realistically cannot achieve). We should not focus on perfection. It's not healthy (physically or mentally), and outer beauty is fleeting anyway.
American models are simply too thin..they eat nuts--all kinds and little else..anorexics all...now French models have a secret..they eat everything they want yet manage to look thin...red wine and cigarettes might be part of the secret...
I agree with you BiodunIginla about American models being too thin. And you're probably right about French models and their secret. Unfortunately, the pressure on these models is high, but the 'thin ideal' is also still being perpetuated. However, if we don't buy it, they won't sell it.
