Lebanese security forces succeeded early this morning to solve the rebellion and riot state in Tripoli Al Qubba prison, North of Lebanon. The riots had started yesterday in the afternoon when 3 prisoners took two warders working in the pharmacy of the prison as hostages and provoked the other prisoners to rebel and to start a state of disobedience. Thus prisoners put ablaze sheets and mats inside the prison’s cells. Lebanese Interior Minister Ziad Baroud affirmed that he listened to the demands of prisoners however, he pointed out that the Lebanese government will not yield to pressure or to blackmailing. Baroud said that prisoners ask for reducing sanctions and added that he is willing to implement this law but riots are not the appropriate mean to demand.
