Local Taliban of Swat,NWFP,have set up a department named "Shuba-e-Arosat"( department of brides) for the collective marriages of the young couples and according to Taliban more than 300 young girls have contacted and wished to be married to the boys of thier choice.Taliban's spokesman, Muslim Khan told media that this had been setup sometimes ago headed by a Taliban Commander, Abu Ammad. He added that this would help those young couples to get marry who were not been allowed by thier families. He said that Taliban have issued a telephone number on which they can contact us.We collect thier particulars and call them for marriage on thier turn because according to him,Islam allowes every adult person to get marry according to his or her choice. He added that most of the girls who contacted us wish to marry Taliban and they would be given thier rights of choice. Some of the people in the region say that they are paving thier way for young Taliban to marry with the girls on thier own.It is really strange that they flog the couples on one hand for moving together while on the other side allow young couples to marry. And moreover, how is it possible for couple to propose each other with out been looked. It seems that Swat after Peace Deal with Taliban has fallen into thier hands and they are implementing thier own brand of law into every walk of life in spite of the loud claims of Sofi Muhammad and Provincial Government that it would be restricted only to the judiciary.
