The allvoices Excellence in Citizen Media Incentive Program is an online initiative to reward on-the-ground news and opinion contributors from all over the world with a six-month cash incentive. The initiative experiments with new reporting models to reward writers, journalists, bloggers, students, photographers, video makers and citizen reporters for their creative works, and allvoices provides a platform to do so.

Contributors who submit news and opinion between August 19, 2008 and March 19, 2009 can earn cash rewards when they reach certain milestones which depends on the quality and viewership of their reports and contributions. allvoices enables contributors to build a multimedia portfolio of reports and contributions on their profile page and build a fan and readership base.

The participants have a maximum of seven months to reach the milestones specified in the Terms for the Incentive Program from their collective contributions within the time period. allvoices wants participants in the program to report regularly and continue to build their portfolio on the profile page.

How To Earn Rewards

Below you will find the four essential steps to reach success in the Incentive Program.

• Step 1: Register to Become a Contributor

• For New Users:
• Click here to Register and complete form.
• Your location selection (Country, City) on the registration page (to show where you are usually reporting from) is very important since reporting location is key for allvoices!
• If you want to report or contribute via cell phone, please provide your mobile number, otherwise email is sufficient.
• Check the boxes at the bottom to agree to Terms of Use, Privacy Policy and Terms for the Incentive Program.
• After registering, visit your Edit Profile page and add a profile image. The Edit profile button is located on top of every page next to Profile.
• You will receive a registration confirmation email from allvoices, where you will be asked to confirm your email address.
• For Registered Users:
• Login to allvoices here
• Go to your Edit Profile page
• Choose the Incentive Program tab
• Check the box to register and agree to the Terms for the Incentive Program.
• Click on SAVE PROFILE
• You will receive a confirmation email that you have enrolled in the Incentive Program from allvoices.

• Step 2: Report Your News

• You can report via computer or cell phone by clicking Report Your News.
• Tell us what is happening where you are. Your report description can be as short as a paragraph or as long as an article.

• Step 3: Promote Your News

• Get page views! The more people visit the news reports you created and view your profile, the more page views you get.
• Encourage other people to add images, videos or comments to your news events.
• Share your news reports and opinions with friends, family and others by clicking the Email button to the right of Share on your news report page.
• Share with other communities such as Digg, Reddit, Facebook, StumbleUpon and MySpace.
• Develop fans, a readership and reputation on allvoices.com.

• Step 4: Contribute your views (image, text, video or comments) to other people’s news or news events

• You can contribute via website or cellphone.
• The more people view the contributions you made to other people's new reports (uploaded videos or images etc.), the more page views you get.

How To Get Paid

When you reach the first milestone of 10K pageviews, please submit the following:

1. Completed and signed tax form (only required once). Fax to +1-415-391-1079 or email to incentive@allvoices.com.
   • US citizens: IRS Form W-9 (http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/fw9.pdf)
   • International participants: IRS Form W-8BEN (http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/fw8ben.pdf). Instructions can be found at http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/fw8ben.pdf.
2. Write your Allvoices username and email on the bottom of your tax form.
3. We pay via check only. Checks are processed every 2 weeks.
